Skim Pump Set

Our compact Skim Pump Sets come in a range of different configurations, dependant on the requirements.

Our Skimmer Pump Sets work in tandem with our Oil Skimmers to remove gross oil/fat from the fluid surface whether in a tank, sump or pond. The set strainer removes debris to protect pump operation and limit the amount of rubbish in collected oil. The liquid, high in oil, is then transferred to an Oil Holding Water Decant  Tank by the pump.

The whole skimming arrangement can be stand alone but for the best possible results it is combined with a Deoiling Hydrocyclone Separator.

Our Skim Sets come in a range of different configurations, dependant on pump and control requirements. We can use an air or electric diaphragm pump or an electric progressive cavity pump. 

To the right is an example of our SKEPC7 Skim Pump Set which is coupled with our Deoiling Hydrocyclones. 

We recommend utilising Hydrocyclones for larger applications as when the flow rate increases, the size of the OHWD Tank increases to the point of being impractical.

The solution is for the the Deoiling Hydrocyclones to essentially concentrate the oil collection by separating the skimmings. This decreases the amount of water that travels to the tank.

All our Skim Sets can be made to suit the application to get the best possible results.
