Spinclear in Mining

Spinclear has worked with numerous mining companys at different mine locations which focus on iron ore, gold, coal and uranium. Each mine sites demands vary in terms of environmental conditions and landscapes, flow rate requirements and desired configuration of the units supplied.

We design our separation units to the specific needs of each client which helps create the most efficient and effective solution.

Mines are usually in quite remote and unforgiving locations, exposed to extreme heat and wind conditions. In order to survive in these areas our equipement needs to be strong and durable.

Spinclear’s experience in this sector allows us to design and manufacture packages best suited to this environment and operator needs.

Regardless of the size of the mine or element being mined, each mine site will need a well engineered treatment technology in place. The best suited technology for mining is Hydrocyclone Technology.

Spinclear uses smaller Deoiling Hydrocyclones (20mm) instead of larger ones, as they produce greater separation results. If you combine many of these Hydrocyclones together, the better separation is achieved with a large flow rate, which in many cases on mine sites, can exceed 100 m3/h. We are capable of designing units that manage flow rates ranging between 2-500 m3/h.

Once our separators are installed on site, no matter how remote that site is, we offer ongoing technical support for the life of the minesite.

Spinclear process

Our solutions for the mining industry are varied. We have the flexibility to design different systems, although we do have an overall treatment philosophy that we believe gives the best results. The treament process is below.

Oil / Solids Separation

Separator pump draws oily water via Foot Valve

Oily water screened via Clean On Line Strainer

Oil separation via Deoiling Hydrocyclones

Heavy solids separation via Desanding Hydrocyclones

Treated water led to tankage or ponds

Separated oil and solids collected via various means

Oil Skimming

Skim Pump Set draws surface oil and water via S40 Skimmer

Skimming screened via strainer

Skimmings fed to OHWD tank.

Overflowing oil from OHWD tank led to Oil tank

Excess water in OHWD tank flows back to pit`
