Car Wash Industry

Due to economic, environmental and water restrictions, car washes have had to update their systems to be far more efficient to create less wastage. A Spinclear solution will be beneficial economically and enviormentally, through the recycling of wash water. The car wash will save on water costs, sewer discharge costs and wash chemicals used.

Our designated product line for car washes are our Wash Reclaim (WR) units. Depending on flow rate requirements, we can up scale our capacity but our stock units, the WR1.1 and WR2.1 are capable of 3.5 m3/h and 7m3/h respectively.

Oil & solid separations

  • Pump used to pressurize water.
  • Deoiling separator creates high centrifugal forces (> 1,000 g).
  • Oil is forced to the core and is extracted. Sub 20 micron oil droplet separation achieved.
  • Deoiled water is discharged to Desanding Seperator.
  • Desanding Separator creates high centrifugal forces (> 1,000 g).
  • Heavy Solids are forced to the bore and are extracted. Sub 10 micron sand separation achieved.
  • Cleaned water in core is discharged to oxygenation stage.

  • Desander also sucks in air.
  • Air emulsified inside desander.
  • A very large air to water interface created.
  • Significant increase in oxygen uptake into the water.
  • High dissolved oxygen helps to inhibit bacteria growth thus helping to control odourous water.

  • Emulsified air bubbles used to attach and float out neutral weight solids.
  • These solids typically of organic origin.
  • Foam/solids and water separation occurs inside Foam Separation (FOS) Tank.
  • Treated water led to holding tank for reuse.

Why Spinclear

Typical solutions will have high running costs and dubious value overall, low uptime (more fresh water used), poor quality water and odourous water.
